Kelashi – Anjarle – Asud 18th May 2006
We had a long journey ahead of us today. Started at around 10 am after good breakfast and sound gyan about “ bagayati sheti” from Uday Bapat. We headed towards Dapoli, took the turn at Purar, via Mandangad, Kelashi reached Anjarle. The terrain was hilly. I like these hill roads in Kokan. Greenery on both sides, an serpentine roads climbing hills after hills.
We had our lunch at one Mr. Sathe’s place. After Pithale Bhat, we headed towards Asud near Dapoli. We visited our “Kuldaivat” vyaghreshwar which is situated there. The temple is quaint, built in a typical kokan style.
From Dapoli we reached the highway and from there climbed up thru Poladpur, Mahabaleshwar and to Pune from there.
It was a long and tiring day. We reached back to Pune at 10 pm.

I am eagerly waiting wandering ranade to visit our Kuladaivat Shri Vyaghreshwar’s Mahashivaratri Utsav … why not during this Mahashivaratri which is to be celebrated on 16th & 17th february 2007.

Dosen’t matter .. If not on Mahashivaratri .. why not? On 23rd December 2007 during Ranade as well as Chitpavan’s mahasammelan??

Mr. Umesh , you can check for ST buses from Pune to Kelshi or there will be direct bus service to Dapoli , Dist. Ratnagiri. From Dapoli you can easlily proceed to Kelashi by ST bus or auto , as regular ST buses avail from Dapoli to Kelashi.
You have small guest houses avail at Kelashi. Food will be prepared with advance notice only , better to carry some stuff from Dapoli only. Rds-Nitin J.

Anjarle is beautifull and fully sea side town in Dapoli Taluka, Nobody can compute other town with anjarle coz there is beautifull River attached with Arabian Sea if you can see at night my town look like nacless
